HOW TO REDUCE LOWER BELLY FAT

I know how annoying and unappealing Lower belly Fat can be because I have been there. it gets so hard to fit in certain clothes due to lowe belly fat.

in this post, I would be giving tips on how I got rid of lower belly fat. you just have to be patient and stay consistent with achieving a lowe belly.

According to WHO; a healthy waist to hip’ ratio should be 0.80 or less for Women and 0.90 or less for Men so if yours is more then you should work on your lower belly.

EXERCISE

Exercise is not important in helping to reduce lower belly fat but also good for your health. I know it gets tiring to do exercise but take it a day at a time, you could create a schedule whereby you exercise 3-4 times weekly instead of every day. I strongly recommend aerobic exercises, strength training, and cardio.

Exercises you could engage in include;

  • Leg raises
  • Scissor kicks
  • Mountain climbers
  • Bicycle crunches
  • Flutter kicks

TIP – Download workout Apps on your phone and do the exercises if you do not have the time or money to register for Gym Classes.

HEALTHY DIETS

I used to eat everything I see but I decided to be cautious with what I eat and maintain a healthy diet. Right now, I am big on more proteinous food, vegetables, and fruits plus I do not eat much{took this from my dad}. My friend would say I got a ‘small stomach sac’{I have no idea if there is a thing as ‘a small stomach sac’} but if you eat much, I suggest you eat in smaller portions at intervals.

  • CUT DOWN ON CARBS – Low carb diet helps in the reduction of belly fat and like I stated earlier, eat more protein{try to include protein in every meal}, eat vegetables and take more fruits.
  • EAT FOOD RICH IN PROTEIN – Including protein-rich food in your meal helps in losing weight and to burn belly fat. Food rich in protein helps boost Metabolism which helps in burning calories. Eggs, Oats, Milk, Greek yogurt, Legumes, Chia seeds, almonds, etc
  • TAKE FOOD RICH IN FIBER – Most Natural and unprocessed food are rich in Fiber, whole grains, and more.
  • HEALTHY FATS – Healthy fats reduce
  • inflammation in the body. Polyunsaturated fats like Olive oil,  avocado, nuts, fatty fish rich in omega 3 fatty acid in your diet helps lower inflammation.
  • SAY NO TO REFINED DIET – Avoid candies, chocolates, cakes, and cookies. If you are to take them, it should be once in a while. Take honey, brown sugar instead.
  • TAKE LOT OF WATER – Water helps you stay hydrated which is key in flushing out of toxins in the body Drink water 30 minutes before a meal as it can lead to weight loss.

MAINTAIN A GOOD LIFESTYLE

Maintaining a good lifestyle not only helps in reducing belly fat but also helps in healthy living.

  • STRESS – I saw somewhere that stress makes us fat but it depends on individual though for me because stress actually makes me slim but if stress makes you fat, then I suggest you try to reduce stress in any way you can.

After thinking about the quote ‘stress makes one fat’, I got to realize that it is correct in a way because when we are stressed we get tired to eat a proper meal so we end up taking junk and unhealthy food which gives us unhealthy weight and fat . For me, I do not eat much and when I am stressed I get tired and just sleep; more reason I get slim when I am stressed.

  • PROPER SLEEP – Sleep helps in recharging the body and mind. Sleep for at least 7 hours a day . Study shows that sleeping for more than 7 hours per night helps in weight loss.

In Conclusion

Losing Belly Fat is a gradual process and you cannot lose all belly fat in a week or month, takes time and Consistency because Abdominal fat is stubborn.

Eat well and healthy, exercise, try to reduce stress and in no time you would see a full result.
